The good gone bad...

Loved this app when it first came out, then it went downhill from there. Here is why:

1. Technical: I have this application on both my iPhone and my iPad and it crashes, hangs, or causes my iOS device to spontaneously reboot all the time. This seems to have become a bigger issue since they started doing the adds at the beginning of the videos. When an add is played, I have problems generally as soon as the add starts, when it goes right to the video, it generally seems to work. Perhaps a problem with the add integration? Not sure. When I went to the Apple store, they stated this is an oft reported issue with this app and they recommended getting rid of it, after we deleted and downloaded a new copy twice with the same issues reoccurring after each attempt on my iPad, cell phone, and one in the store we tried it on as well. So it technically is shaky at best and will provide countless frustrations and crashed applications and spontaneous rebooting of iOS devices.

2. Viewpoint: Newsy started with a great idea that I could really get behind, gather all the different viewpoints on a news story, from all the main news sources and give you a clear view of what each is saying in a concise video format, allowing you to draw your own conclusions. It has since changed very dramatically its formats and is now completely one sided in its reporting and stance on issues, no longer representing all of the different viewpoints. So it will only give you a very one-sided view of any story.

Unfortunately, Newsy is truly "the good gone bad"... dont waste your time, look elsewhere!
